• 35th Celebratory Exhibition

Exhibition 2019

This year we are celebrating our 35th Anniversary.  This should be Coral but the more eco-friendly Jade has been chosen as our theme.  The Beartown Patchwork & Quilters started with a small group of ladies getting together in their own homes; some of these ladies remain members of the group and have seen it grow from strength to strength!  We want to celebrate diversity on this special anniversary as our members represent a wide spectrum of patchwork and quilting world.

The exhibition will include many beautiful quilts made by members and demonstrating a wide range of patchwork and quilting skills and techniques; beginners through to experts in the field.  'Quilting Angels' will be on hand to talk to visitors about the exhibits and techniques and there will be patchwork and quilters working on live projects during the two days. Also there will be:-

  • Collaborative contemporary project, designed and facilitated by Ruth Axson.  To be unveiled on the 7th. June.
  • On display; Jade Challenge which is a collection of mini quilts of 'Memories of Congleton and surrounding area'.
  • Fabric Sales Table.
  • Sales table of home made stitched items.
  • Tombola.
  • Quilters Guild representation.
  • 'Petting Corner' for visitors to look at, and feel, a range of patchwork and quilting samples.
  • Refreshments.
  • Raffle with lots of prizes including four beautiful bed quilts!
